About FoyoChinaTrip

FoyoChinaTrip is a China-based inbound travel agency specializing in customized, private, and small-group journeys for international travelers. We focus on immersive experiences, smooth logistics, and thoughtful on-the-ground support.About FoyoChinaTrip>>

Yes. We are a locally operated travel company in China, working directly with local guides, drivers, hotels, and experience providers. This allows us to design flexible itineraries and respond quickly during your trip.

We do not sell fixed package tours. Every trip is designed around your interests, travel pace, and comfort level. No forced shopping, no rushed schedules, and no “one-size-fits-all” routes.

Our services are suitable for first-time visitors to China, repeat travelers, families, couples, senior travelers, and those seeking deeper cultural or nature-based experiences.

Our services are not positioned as budget group tours, nor are they luxury-only experiences. Pricing depends on your travel style, destinations, accommodation level, and pace.

Because every trip is customized, costs are transparent and based on real needs rather than fixed packages. Many travelers find that a well-designed private trip offers better value than rushed group tours or unplanned independent travel — especially when time, comfort, and local support are considered.

Traveling in China can be highly rewarding, but it also involves language barriers, complex logistics, and regional differences. We help bridge these gaps by providing local expertise, professional guides, private transportation, and on-the-ground support.

Our role is to simplify planning, reduce uncertainty, and ensure your time in China is comfortable, efficient, and meaningful — while still allowing flexibility and personal choice.

In addition to fully customized tours, we also provide a wide range of flexible travel support services to meet different travel needs.

These include day tours in major cities, private transportation, and professional guide services for destinations that are difficult to visit independently.
For example, if you are traveling independently in China but would like a professional guide for sites such as Sanxingdui, we can arrange an experienced guide to provide clear explanations and cultural insights.
If you arrive in a city and find transportation inconvenient, we can also assist with airport transfers or point-to-point transport.

Most importantly, we offer comprehensive travel advice and practical guidance for traveling in China. This consultation service is completely free.
Even if you ultimately decide not to book with FoyoChinaTrip, we are still happy as long as our information helps you travel in China more smoothly and with confidence.

We provide services across major cities and regions throughout China, including cultural, natural, and less-visited destinations.

If you have a specific location in mind, feel free to ask — we will confirm feasibility based on logistics and local conditions.

Safety is our top priority, and it is built into every part of how we operate.

All guides working with FoyoChinaTrip are required to hold the highest-level nationally recognized tour guide certification in China, which is our minimum requirement. In addition, they undergo regular training focused on service standards, safety awareness, and explanation skills. These trainings are conducted on a recurring basis and must be completed through assessments before guides continue working with guests.

For transportation, all vehicles are subject to routine pre-trip inspections, ensuring proper mechanical condition and cleanliness. Drivers are selected based on extensive experience, typically with over 10 years of professional driving experience. Before each trip, dedicated staff review planned routes in advance to minimize risks related to traffic conditions or road maintenance.

We also conduct ongoing inspections of partner hotels and well-known restaurants in major travel destinations. These checks focus on hygiene and operational standards, and any partner receiving negative feedback or failing inspections is removed from our recommended list until issues are resolved. To ensure objective evaluations, inspection staff regularly rotate assigned areas.

In addition, our headquarters and regional offices maintain 24-hour online customer support and emergency response teams. This allows us to respond quickly to any situation, even when a guide is not immediately nearby.

For destinations at higher elevations, such as areas around 3,000 meters, we proactively provide portable oxygen supplies as a precautionary measure.
While incidents during our tours are rare, we believe that safety has no substitute — and no priority is higher.

With over a decade of operating experience, our goal is simple: to ensure every journey is carried out with care, preparation, and peace of mind.

Before Traveling to China

China is widely regarded as a very safe destination for travelers. Crime rates are low, and strict drug control policies contribute to a secure environment — even when traveling at night.
In fact, many visitors are surprised by how comfortable evening walks feel, especially in lively night markets (the only real risk might be enjoying the food a bit too much).

International political situations rarely affect daily life in China. Public demonstrations are extremely uncommon, and travelers generally experience a calm and orderly social environment.

Most importantly, visitors from all parts of the world are welcomed with friendliness and respect. Regardless of nationality or political background, international travelers are treated as guests, and discrimination toward foreign visitors is not part of everyday life in China.

Yes. China is generally a very safe destination with stable public security and well-developed infrastructure. Our team continuously monitors local conditions and supports travelers throughout their journey.

Especially when traveling with our experienced local guides and private vehicles, safety and comfort are further enhanced — whether you are hiking, visiting mountainous areas, or traveling long distances by road.

Our guides pay attention not only to major safety concerns, such as altitude adjustment or fear of heights, but also to small details that make a real difference.
They may remind you to swallow or adjust breathing in high-speed elevators, warn you about uneven ground to prevent a twisted ankle, or gently point out if a dish might be too spicy for your taste.

These thoughtful reminders come from years of on-the-ground experience and are part of how we help travelers feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for throughout their journey in China.

During the period up to 2025, China has introduced a series of visa-free travel policies. In addition to existing mutual visa-free agreements, China has also expanded unilateral visa-free access to many more countries.

As a result, the current list now includes 82 visa-free countries, covering a large portion of the world’s major travel markets.
Even travelers from countries not included in this list may still be eligible to visit China through visa-free transit policies, allowing them to explore China without applying for a traditional visa.

If you are unsure whether your nationality qualifies for visa-free entry or transit, please refer to our Visa Policy page for detailed and up-to-date information.

The official currency is the Chinese Yuan (RMB). Most daily payments in China are made digitally via mobile payment systems. Cash is still accepted in many places, but is used less frequently.

We strongly recommend using WeChat during your trip to China.

WeChat App works much like WhatsApp for instant messaging, allowing you to stay in touch easily and receive 24-hour customer support from our team throughout your journey.
More importantly, after linking a Visa or Mastercard credit card just once, WeChat can be used for almost all daily payments in China — from restaurants and taxis to shops and attractions.

Digital payment is universally adopted in China, and mobile payment is the standard way people pay. WeChat offers an English interface and is very friendly for international users registering with foreign passports.

Used daily by over a billion people, WeChat is a mature and secure platform. You can use it with confidence, knowing it is both reliable and widely accepted across the country.

International credit cards are accepted at major hotels and some large establishments, but not everywhere. We help travelers prepare practical payment solutions before arrival.

Because mobile payment has developed extremely quickly in China, many local shops and restaurants no longer maintain traditional credit-card POS terminals. As a result, relying on physical credit cards alone can sometimes be inconvenient.

By linking your credit card to WeChat, you can avoid this issue entirely. WeChat Pay is widely accepted across China and allows you to complete daily payments smoothly in almost all situations — from taxis and restaurants to small local shops.

With WeChat set up in advance, most travelers can move around comfortably without carrying cash, making travel in China simpler and more convenient.

Some international apps and services such as Google, WhatsApp, YouTube, and Facebook are not directly accessible in China.

However, China has widely used local alternatives for communication, navigation, payments, and daily life. We provide clear explanations and practical guidance in your pre-departure travel guide, so you know exactly what to prepare before arrival.

After you arrive in China, our local staff or guide will also assist you in setting up and using the apps you may need during your trip, ensuring you can stay connected and travel comfortably.

For travelers who prefer not to activate international roaming, simply let us know in advance. We can help arrange a local SIM card with full internet access or provide a portable Wi-Fi device at no additional cost.
This ensures that you can connect to the internet immediately upon arrival, use navigation and messaging apps, or contact family members to let them know you have arrived safely.

Yes, for many popular attractions, advance reservations are required due to visitor limits. Same-day ticket purchases are often unavailable.

We handle ticket reservations as part of your itinerary planning to ensure smooth entry and avoid unnecessary waiting or disappointment.

China has a vast territory with diverse climates. Weather conditions vary significantly by region and season — from cold winters in the north to mild or humid climates in the south.

We consider seasonal conditions carefully when designing itineraries and will advise you on suitable travel periods and packing recommendations.

Chinese cuisine varies greatly by region and includes a wide range of flavors and spice levels. If you have dietary preferences, allergies, or restrictions, we encourage you to inform us in advance.

Our guides assist with ordering food, explaining ingredients, and adjusting meal choices to ensure comfort and safety.

Altitude-related discomfort may occur in high-altitude regions such as Tibet or parts of western China. We design itineraries with gradual elevation changes and include rest time when necessary.

Our guides also provide reminders and practical support to minimize discomfort. Travelers with health concerns should consult their doctor before travel.

China uses a 220V power supply, with two flat-pin or three flat-pin sockets. Travelers from some countries may be able to use their devices with a simple plug adapter, while others may require a power adapter depending on their electronics.

For detailed explanations, including outlet types and visual guides, you may refer to our page:
Things to Know Before Your First Trip to China >>

That said, you don’t need to worry about this in advance. We can prepare plug adapters for you, or even arrange suitable power adapters when needed.
Our goal is to take care of these small but important details, so you can focus on enjoying your journey with ease.

We place great importance on both professional expertise and service mindset, as we believe a good guide shapes the entire travel experience.

As a locally operated travel company, we focus on long-term trust rather than short-term transactions. Taking good care of every guest is not just our standard — it is the foundation of how we continue to operate and grow.

Private transportation is used for customized tours. For small group tours, transportation is shared within the group but remains comfortable and well-organized.

Yes. Before your trip, we provide essential travel information including itinerary details, meeting instructions, and practical travel tips.

Absolutely. Our team remains reachable during your journey to assist with coordination or unexpected situations.

Yes, we do offer flight booking assistance when needed.

However, as flight payments handled by a company are subject to taxes and additional processing costs, we generally recommend assisting you with flight selection instead of directly booking the tickets on your behalf.
Our flight suggestions take multiple factors into account, including ticket price, convenience of airport access, overall travel comfort, and coordination with airport pick-up arrangements after arrival in China.

By booking the international flights yourself, you can also manage your reservation directly and stay informed about any schedule changes or updates from the airline.

That said, if booking flights on your own is inconvenient, we are happy to provide flight booking services on your behalf.
A service fee of USD 30 per ticket applies.
